About Individual Micro Carbide Drill Sizes

These solid carbide micro drills are available in individual sizes for PCB and circuit board drilling, CNC work, electronics, plastics, composites, model making, carburetor applications, and other precision small-hole drilling.

Choosing a Drill Size

The product listings above are grouped by decimal-inch diameter range to make it easier to find the size you need. Number, metric, fractional, and letter drill sizes may be very close in diameter; use our Drill Bit Size Chart to compare sizes and equivalents.

Using Micro Carbide Drills

Micro carbide drills are extremely hard and accurate, but they are also brittle. Use a stable setup, keep the drill straight, avoid side-loading, and use light pressure. For the smallest sizes, a pin vise, drill press, PCB drill holder, CNC machine, or other controlled setup is recommended rather than a handheld electric drill.

Most of these drills have a standard 1/8" shank, commonly used with PCB drill holders, CNC collets, rotary-tool accessories, and precision drilling setups.
