Carbide Grout Removal Bits (1/8" Shank) — Choose Your Size

These solid carbide grout removal bits are designed for fast, controlled removal of old grout in tile joints using Dremel® and similar rotary tools that accept a 1/8" (3.175mm) shank. Choose a size based on your grout line width and how aggressive you want the cut to be.

Why Solid Carbide?

  • Excellent wear resistance for abrasive grout, mortar residue, and cement-based materials
  • Cuts cleanly compared to softer steel bits that dull quickly
  • Made in USA

Choose the Right Size

Tip: If you’re unsure, start smaller. You can always widen the joint with a larger bit.

  • 1/16" (Fine) — best for narrow grout lines and detail work
  • 3/32" (Medium) — a good all-around size for common grout joints
  • 1/8" (Aggressive) — faster removal for wider joints and heavier grout removal

Compatible Tools & Guides

  • Shank: 1/8" (fits Dremel and similar rotary tools that accept 1/8" accessories)
  • Tool guide compatibility: compatible with Dremel 565 and Dremel 566 tool guides
  • Not compatible with: Dremel 568-01 grout removal depth-setting attachment

Works Great On

  • Tile grout (floor and wall)
  • Cement board
  • Ceramic wall tile edges (controlled trimming/cleanup)
  • Plaster (cleanup and detail removal)

How to Use (Best Results)

  • Wear eye protection and a dust mask—grout dust is abrasive.
  • Start at a moderate speed, then increase only as needed. Let the bit do the work.
  • Use light pressure and keep the tool moving to avoid chipping tile edges.
  • For clean results, make a shallow pass first, then deepen/widen gradually.
  • Vacuum dust as you go for visibility and cooler cutting.
  • Construction: premium solid carbide
