This DLC-coated single O-flute solid carbide end mill features a 0.0591" (1.50mm) cutting diameter, 8.5mm length of cut, single O-flute geometry, and a standard 1/8" shank. It is designed for precision CNC routing, milling, profiling, slotting, and trimming in plastics, wood, and suitable non-ferrous materials.

The O-flute geometry provides generous chip space and efficient chip evacuation, making it especially well suited for machining acrylic, plastics, PVC, wood, and wood-based materials. It may also be used for aluminum and suitable non-ferrous metals when proper feeds, speeds, chip clearing, and workholding are used.

The DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating provides a low-friction, wear-resistant cutting surface designed to help reduce material adhesion and improve wear resistance compared with an otherwise similar uncoated cutter. The polished cutting edge and single-flute design help promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce material buildup during machining.

The up-cut design helps pull chips up and away from the cutting area for efficient evacuation. It can also provide good bottom-edge cut quality in many routing applications. Because an up-cut tool pulls chips upward, proper workholding is important and the top edge may require masking or finishing depending on the material and application.
