This Rainbow DLC-coated single O-flute solid carbide end mill features a 0.0984" (2.50mm) cutting diameter, 15mm length of cut, single O-flute geometry, and a standard 1/8" shank. It is designed for precision CNC routing, milling, profiling, slotting, and trimming in plastics, wood, and suitable non-ferrous materials.

The O-flute geometry provides generous chip space and efficient chip control, making it especially well suited for machining acrylic, plastics, PVC, wood, and wood-based materials. It may also be used for aluminum and suitable non-ferrous metals when proper feeds, speeds, chip clearing, and workholding are used.

The Rainbow DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating provides a low-friction, wear-resistant cutting surface designed to help reduce material adhesion and improve wear resistance compared with an otherwise similar uncoated cutter. The distinctive multicolor finish is characteristic of this coated tool and may vary slightly in appearance from tool to tool.

The down-cut design directs chips downward into the cut and helps press the workpiece toward the table during machining. This geometry is especially useful when a clean top-edge finish is important and can help reduce lifting or breakout on the upper surface of suitable materials. Because chips are directed downward rather than pulled upward, adequate chip clearing is important, especially in deeper slots and enclosed cuts.
