This Rainbow DLC-coated single O-flute solid carbide end mill features a 0.0984" (2.50mm) cutting diameter, 15mm length of cut, single O-flute geometry, and a standard 1/8" shank. It is designed for precision CNC routing, milling, profiling, slotting, and trimming in plastics and other suitable soft or non-ferrous materials.

The O-flute geometry provides generous chip space and efficient chip evacuation, making it especially well suited for machining acrylic, plastics, HDPE, polycarbonate, PVC, and other machinable plastic materials. It may also be used for suitable wood products, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials when proper feeds, speeds, chip clearing, and workholding are used.

The Rainbow DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating provides a low-friction, wear-resistant cutting surface designed to help reduce material adhesion and improve wear resistance compared with an otherwise similar uncoated cutter. The distinctive multicolor finish is characteristic of this coated tool and may vary slightly in appearance from tool to tool.

The up-cut design pulls chips upward and away from the cutting area for efficient evacuation. This is particularly useful during slotting and deeper cuts where effective chip clearing is important. Up-cut geometry can also provide good bottom-edge cut quality. Because the cutting action tends to lift the workpiece and chips upward, secure workholding is recommended and top-edge finish should be considered when the visible upper surface is critical.
