This Made in USA Kyocera precision micro carbide end mill features a 0.0200" (0.50mm) cutting diameter, .098" length of cut, 2-flute down-cut geometry, square end cutting profile, 1.50" overall length, and a standard 1/8" shank. It is designed for very fine CNC milling, engraving, inlay work, profiling, and detail cutting where a clean top edge is important.
The down-cut spiral design pushes chips downward during cutting, which can help reduce lifting, fraying, or breakout on the top surface of the material. This makes it especially useful for CNC inlay work, engraving, plastics, laminates, thin materials, and detail cuts where top-surface finish matters.
Because down-cut tools push chips into the cut, proper feeds, speeds, shallow step-downs, chip clearing, and secure workholding are important. Solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance for precision micro-machining.
