0.1250" (1/8") x .867" LOC 2-Flute Square End Carbide End Mill, 1/8" Shank – M2-190
This precision solid carbide end mill features a 0.1250" (1/8") cutting diameter, an extended .867" length of cut, 2-flute square end geometry, 1.50" overall length, and a standard 1/8" shank. It is designed for CNC milling, deep slotting, profiling, contouring, and applications requiring a longer cutting edge than a standard-length 1/8" end mill.
The 2-flute up-cut design helps evacuate chips from deeper cuts while providing adequate flute space for machining wood, plastics, composites, aluminum, and other materials. The extended flute length is especially useful when cutting thicker material or machining deeper features where a shorter length of cut will not reach.
Solid tungsten carbide construction provides rigidity, wear resistance, and dimensional stability. The center-cutting square end allows the tool to perform plunging operations as well as slotting, profiling, and flat-bottom cutting when appropriate feeds, speeds, depth of cut, and workholding are used.
Important: Because of its extended .867" cutting length and relatively small 1/8" diameter, this tool should be operated with conservative cutting depths and minimal tool deflection. Use the shortest practical tool extension and avoid excessive side loading.
Common Applications
- Deep slotting and profiling
- Cutting thicker sheet and panel material
- Wood and engineered wood machining
- Plastic and acrylic machining
- Composite and fiberglass machining
- Aluminum and soft non-ferrous metals
- Fine contouring and detail work
- Flat-bottom pockets and recessed features
Benefits
- Extended .867" length of cut provides additional cutting reach
- 2-flute design provides good chip clearance during deeper cuts
- Up-cut spiral helps lift chips away from the cutting area
- Center-cutting geometry permits controlled plunging operations
- Square end is suitable for slots, profiles, pockets, and flat-bottom cuts
- Solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance
- Standard 1/8" shank fits many CNC routers and precision toolholders
- Uncoated cutting edges are suitable for a broad range of materials

Extended-Length Tool Considerations
The .867" length of cut provides substantially more reach than a standard-length 1/8" end mill, but the extended cutting section also increases the possibility of tool deflection. For best results, use rigid workholding, reduce the depth and width of each pass, maintain proper chip evacuation, and avoid extending the tool farther from the collet than necessary.
