This extended-flute 1/8" solid carbide end mill features a .1250" (3.175mm) cutting diameter, .867" (approximately 22mm) length of cut, 2-flute square end geometry, 1.50" overall length, and a standard 1/8" shank. Its long cutting section is designed for CNC applications requiring more flute reach than conventional short-length end mills.

The 2-flute up-cut spiral geometry helps lift chips away from the cutting area during milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring. This tool can be used for appropriately controlled cutting in wood, MDF, plastics, acrylic, suitable composites, and soft non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and brass.

With a .867" length of cut, M2-190 offers considerably more cutting reach than shorter 1/8" end mills. The .867" LOC is the available cutting length, not a recommended depth per pass. This relatively long flute section can deflect under side loading, particularly during full-width slotting or metal machining.

For best results, use rigid workholding, minimize spindle runout, maintain effective chip removal, and use conservative cutting engagement appropriate for the material. Avoid excessive unsupported tool extension and heavy cuts.

Choosing the Right Flute Length
