0.1250" / 1/8" compression carbide end mill with .670" LOC and standard 1/8" shank.

This solid carbide compression end mill is designed for CNC cutting where clean top and bottom edges are important. Compression geometry combines up-cut and down-cut flute action to help reduce tear-out and chipping on both faces of suitable sheet materials.

This style is especially useful for through-cuts in plywood, laminates, MDF, plastics, and similar sheet materials when the tool is cutting deep enough for the compression geometry to work properly.

Common Applications

  • Clean through-cuts in sheet goods
  • Plywood, MDF, and laminated panels
  • Plastic, acrylic, and composite sheet materials
  • Cabinet, sign, template, and panel work
  • CNC routing where both top and bottom edge quality matter

Benefits

  • Compression geometry helps reduce top and bottom edge tear-out
  • 1/8" cutting diameter is useful for detailed CNC routing and smaller profiles
  • .670" LOC provides good reach for many sheet-material through-cuts
  • Square-end geometry works well for profiles, slots, and flat-bottom cuts
  • Solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance
  • Standard 1/8" shank fits many compact CNC routers and precision collet setups

Compression cutting note: Compression end mills work best when the cut depth engages both the up-cut and down-cut portions of the flute. For shallow cuts, edge quality may behave more like either an up-cut or down-cut tool depending on the portion of the cutter being used.
