2.00mm (.0787") 2-Flute Up-Cut Square End Carbide End Mill – M118
This Kyocera solid carbide precision end mill features a 2.00mm (.0787") cutting diameter, .340" length of cut, 2-flute up-cut square end geometry, 1.50" overall length, and a standard 1/8" shank. It is designed for precision CNC milling, slotting, profiling, pocketing, and detailed machining where accurate cutting and additional flute reach are required.
Manufactured by Kyocera under part number 1600.0787.340, this precision cutter combines a 2.00mm cutting diameter with an approximately 8.64mm flute length for applications requiring greater cutting reach than shorter-flute end mills.
The 2-flute up-cut spiral geometry helps direct chips upward and away from the cutting area. The square end geometry is suitable for slots, profiles, pockets, contours, and flat-bottom features.
The .340" length of cut provides useful reach for deeper slots and profiles. Because longer cutting sections can be more susceptible to deflection, careful attention to cutting engagement, machine rigidity, and spindle runout is important when working near the tool's full flute length.
Solid tungsten carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance, while polished flutes offer smooth cutting surfaces. This end mill can be used for precision machining in plastics, acrylic, wood, fiberglass, composites, and selected soft non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper when appropriate machining parameters are maintained.

Important Machining Considerations
The 2.00mm cutting diameter and .340" flute length provide useful cutting reach, but appropriate machining conditions remain important. Use rigid workholding, precision toolholding, minimal spindle runout, suitable spindle speeds, conservative cutting depths, and carefully selected feed rates.
Up-cut geometry helps evacuate chips from slots and pockets, but excessive cutting forces, tool deflection, or chip accumulation may cause poor surface finishes or premature tool breakage. Select machining parameters appropriate for the material and required cutting depth.
