Factory Resharpened Solid Carbide

These are professional-grade solid carbide micro drills that have been factory resharpened, providing a cost-effective alternative to new carbide drills.

The full 1/8" shanks provide substantially greater rigidity than lightweight wire-style hobby drill assortments.

These are not new drills. They are factory resharpened tools that have been prepared for continued precision use.

Important Use Information

Solid carbide is extremely hard and wear resistant, but it is also brittle. Use a pin vise, drill press, milling machine, micro-drill fixture, or other controlled holder that keeps the drill straight.

Avoid side pressure, bending, or forcing the drill. These tools are intended for careful precision work rather than flexible hand drilling.

Important Keihin Jet Note

Keihin jet numbering varies by jet type and series, and not every Keihin jet size is included in this set.

Verify the actual jet type and required bore diameter before drilling.

Drilling a jet is a permanent modification. Increase the opening gradually. Fuel flow can also be affected by the shape, length, entry, exit, and finish of the metering passage, not only its diameter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these new drills?
No. They are factory resharpened solid carbide drills.

What sizes are included?
One drill each in 0.35, 0.40, 0.45, 0.50, 0.55, 0.60, 0.65, 0.70, 0.75, and 0.80 mm.

Does this set include every Keihin pilot or slow jet size?
No. Keihin uses additional intermediate sizes in some jet series. This set is a selected-size assortment covering ten common metric reference sizes.

Can these be used by hand?
Yes, carefully in a pin vise or other controlled holder. Because solid carbide is brittle, keep the drill straight and avoid side loading.

Will this set work with every Keihin carburetor?
Not necessarily. Keihin carburetors use multiple jet types and size ranges. Confirm the jet type and required diameter before purchasing or modifying a jet.
